Ahead of Bihar assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Khesari Lal Yadav has received notice against the illegal construction of hi residence by Maharashtra’s municipal corporation.

According to the notice sent by Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, there was illegal construction in the residence of Khesari Lal Yadav in Mira Road. It further stated that the illegal part will be demolished in this week.

This comes as Yadav is contesting in the state assembly elections for the Chapra seat against Choti Singh.

In October, the Bhojpuri singer and actor, one of the most popular faces in the regional film industry, joined the RJD alongside his wife, Chanda Devi. The announcement was made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Yadav, known for his wide popularity among youth and rural audiences, is expected to play a key role in strengthening the party’s outreach in Bihar ahead of the upcoming elections.

After joining the party, Khesali Lal Yadav shared a picture with RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, and announced that he will be contesting polls from Bihar’s Chapra.

“I, Khesari Lal Yadav, the son and brother of all of you, am contesting the election from the Chhapra Assembly this time. I am not a traditional leader; I am the son of all of you, the people; I am the red of the fields and farmlands; I am the voice of every class and the enthusiasm of the young brothers. For me, politics is not a race for a chair; it is a responsibility—to bring development to every home in Chhapra, to become the voice of every heart,” he wrote on X.

“The ideology of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the struggle of the respected Shri @laluprasadrjd ji, the young leadership of elder brother Shri @yadavtejashwi ji, and your blessings and trust are now the lamp lighting my path,” his post added.

The Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results to be declared on November 14. The election atmosphere in Bihar is heating up, with leaders from all major parties making strong pitches to secure the people’s mandate.
