Some spectacles make the most sense in a fantastical city like Las Vegas.
Take the Blue Man Group, for example: The masked, silent ensemble show that’s part music, part comedy, and part art has had a 25-year run in Las Vegas so far. Or an illusionist like David Copperfield, who has been casting spells with his massive spectacles, like making cars disappear from the stage, for 40 years.
While Cirque du Soleil may have pop-ups all over the country, no matter when you visit Las Vegas, you can catch a mind-bending show like “O,” “Mystere,” and “The Beatles Love,” which have also been staples for decades.
Now you can add Jabbawockeez to the short list of performers that have run for more than a decade. The troupe’s most recent show, “Timeless,” ended in September, and after a short hiatus, they are back.
Jabbawockeez’ new show is the beloved act’s fifth version
Jabbawockeez just launched their new show, “Freqncy,” at the MGM Grand.
The new show showcases how certain acts are able to strike a balance between longevity and reinvention on the Las Vegas Strip.
“This is our fifth iteration. We like to one-up ourselves. And for this one, we definitely upgraded everything. And you’re gonna really feel that in this show,” Joe “Punkee” Larot, co-founder, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Jabbawockeez have new members, same energy
While the show itself remains a spectacle, the business side has shifted. Founders Larot, Brewer, Jeff “Phi” Nguyen, and Rynan “Kid Rainen” Paguio are stepping into executive oversight roles, allowing a next-generation cast to handle daily performances.
This strategic shift ensures that the brand continues to grow and adapt without losing the signature energy fans expect.
“Jabbawockeez are a sensational dance group, which I enjoyed watching when they opened for comedian Jo Koy in San Francisco. You can expect sellouts for the new show at MGM Grand Las Vegas,” says Las Vegas travel expert for TheStreet, Kirk O’Neill.
Jabbawockeez’ milestones

Jabbawockeez “Freqncy” tickets are available on the MGM website for shows through December 21, 2026.
Jabbawockeez have performed more than 2,000 times
Jabbawockeez have carved out a unique niche with their masked street-dance performances, but they share the Strip with other long-running, brand-driven live productions, especially Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil.
All of these productions emphasize cohesive group performance, theatricality, and evolving productions. What sets Jabbawockeez apart is their foundation in hip-hop and street dance culture, paired with the iconic anonymity of the masks, which emphasizes collective identity over individual stardom.
The new show remixes multiple genres and generations of music into one high-voltage journey – bridging classic anthems, modern hits, and future-leaning sounds, according to a press announcement from MGM Resorts International.
“Each segment is ‘tuned’ to a different frequency band, shaping the mood, tempo, and texture of the movement onstage. The result is a kinetic conversation between sound and movement – when the signal shifts, the entire room resonates in unison.”

Residencies and these kinds of long-running shows also offer unique advantages that touring shows cannot match.
“Las Vegas residencies offer artists unparalleled opportunities to enhance the production quality of their shows,” NevadaMonthly reported. “Because the performances are based in one location, artists can invest in customized stage productions that remain in place for the duration of the residency. This allows for more elaborate and immersive experiences for audiences, something that would be challenging to replicate on the road due to the constraints of touring logistics.”
Entertainment is a source of increasing revenue for Las Vegas. While it likely will never approach the amount of money gaming generates, music and sports are massive drivers in Las Vegas.

Why the Jabbawockeez endure:
- Founders’ strategic leadership preserves brand energy.
- High-quality stage production and immersive visual design.
- Integration of hip-hop and street dance with broad audience appeal.
- Regular updates to choreography and production to stay fresh.
The Jabbawockeez are another example of a brand that has sustained itself on one of the world’s most competitive entertainment stages. Their 15+ years on the Strip showcase how choreography, visual branding, and audience engagement combine with strategic leadership to maintain a long-running production.
