Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on November 15 and 16 and is likely to review bullet train operations between Surat and Bilimora.
He will also review ongoing work from the southern part of the state to Mumbai.
The Prime Minister will also attend events commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.
The celebrations to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda will be held at the tribal town of Dediapada in Narmada district, where the Gujarat government has installed a statue of Birsa Munda — revered as the ‘God of Tribals’ — in honor of his fight against British colonial rule.
Several arrangements are being made for the Prime Minister to kick off the celebrations. As per the plans, PM Modi is expected to arrive in Surat in the morning and proceed to Dediapada by helicopter.
The Gujarat government has made special plans to mark the occasion. Under the New Gujarat Pattern Scheme, the state has allocated Rs 1,100 crore for improving education, employment opportunities, and infrastructure facilities in tribal areas.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is also scheduled to attend the Dediapada event. Notably, Prime Minister Modi had recently visited Kevadia on October 30–31 for the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. DeshGujarat
