Assam’s cherished singer Zubeen Garg, known for his deep connection with fans, had written a touching note before leaving for Singapore, one that’s now moving millions. The note was a part of the promotional campaign for his upcoming project, ‘Roi Roi Binale’.
In his own handwriting, Garg wrote, “Wait, wait a little my new film is coming. Do come and watch it. Love, Zubeen Da.”
Director Rajesh Bhuyan told ETV Bharat that Zubeen had shared his promotional ideas just days before leaving for Singapore. “On September 15, before his departure, Zubeen and I discussed the plans for ‘Roi Roi Binale’. He wanted to promote this film differently from his earlier projects like ‘Mission China’ and ‘Kanchanjangha’,” the filmmaker said.

Honouring Zubeen’s final wish, the ‘Roi Roi Binale’ team shared his handwritten note on social media, where it quickly went viral on Wednesday. The film is slated to hit theatres on October 31 across Assam and 46 other locations in India.
With advance bookings already sold out, ‘Roi Roi Binale’ is poised to make history even before its release, just the way Zubeen would have envisioned.
Zubeen had also shared a heartfelt idea with Bhuyan, saying, “People often come to me for autographs and to meet me, but it’s impossible to meet everyone at once. So, I want to do something that makes everyone feel my presence — I’ll leave behind my autograph and an invitation for them to watch my film.”
Zubeen Garg, known for his work in Bollywood and Assamese music, had died while swimming near an island during a yacht outing in Singapore, where he had travelled to perform at the North East India Festival.
